Gostrey Meadow improvements

Find out the latest on the Gostrey Meadow improvement project.

Exciting improvements are underway at Gostrey Meadow, with work now started on a brand-new, multi-purpose amenity building to replace the existing su-standard toilets.

The new facility will offer modern, sustainable toilets and baby changing amenities for everyone visiting the playground and park. It will also provide dedicated on-site storage for equipment used during the many events held at Gostrey Meadow, helping to reduce transport costs and improve efficiency.

As part of the project, phase two of the playground upgrade is also progressing. The historic Borelli shelter, previously damaged by a large tree, will be carefully rebuilt and transformed to include additional play equipment for younger playground users.

You can keep up with progress during your visit by taking a look through the viewing panels in the site hoarding.

The amenity building and extended play area are expected to be ready by spring 2027.
