Preparing plant pots for Farnham in Bloom – volunteering
What you’ll be doing
Preparing for plug planting by working alongside other volunteers and helping to fill 12,000 plant pots with compost.
When & where
Thursday 26 and Friday 27 February from 9am to 12noon in Farnham town centre.
Come for an hour or stay for the whole session – any contribution makes a difference.
What to bring / wear
- Wear comfortable clothes suitable for gardening and being outside.
- We can provide gloves or you can bring your own.
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to help!

What to expect
Once you have registered your interest, we will contact you with the exact location of the task and additional information.
On the day, volunteer and task coordinator John Ely will meet and greet you, explain what needs to be done, introduce you to some other volunteers and be on hand to answer any questions.

- Five-minute walk to the nearest toilets
