Apply to host an event during Farnham Craft Month
Every October Farnham puts on a month-long celebration of craft.
Events take place every day, run by Farnham’s local makers, craft organisations and community groups. Last year saw over 150 events, many of which were free of charge. Take a look at the Farnham Craft Month 2025 brochure to give you an idea of what was on offer.
Organisations and individual makers across all the craft disciplines are encouraged to open their doors and showcase what they do.
Whether you offer workshops, exhibitions, an open studio, a pop-up shop, markets, talks or family-friendly events, we want to know about it, so that we can promote all the creativity going on in Farnham and surrounding areas.

Farnham Lantern Festival
Farnham’s second-ever Lantern Festival took place on Friday October 31st 2025. The inspiration for the Festival is the significant Celtic celebration which marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, taking stock of the past and looking forward to the future.
The festival started at 5pm with an outdoor gathering of all the participants with their lanterns on Gostrey Meadow, to enjoy live music and give an opportunity to see everyone’s creations on the last day of Farnham Craft Month. Then at 6.30pm we paraded with our lighted lanterns to St Andrew’s Church, where the lanterns were displayed as a large-scale communal craft endeavour.
Community groups, faith groups, care homes, pubs, clubs, schools and informal groups of friends were all encouraged to take part.
