New community grant funding opportunity

Published: Thursday April 2, 2026

Farnham Town Council’s community grants scheme is open for a second round of funding. Priority will be given to local organisations and community groups that have not already received funding for 2026/27, and new projects that meet the criteria.

The grant programme offers vital financial support to projects and initiatives that benefit the Farnham community, helping to strengthen local services, support grassroots organisations, and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Iain Lynch, Farnham Town Clerk says: “Organisations have until 1 May to apply for funding. Councillors will then review the applications with a view to making a decision at the June Council meeting. This will give successful applicants the opportunity to begin delivering their projects over the coming months.”

Farnham Town Council is particularly keen to hear from organisations working across a wide range of areas, including community wellbeing, environmental initiatives, youth engagement, and support services.

Previous grant recipients have used the funding to deliver projects that bring people together, improve local facilities, and provide essential support to those in need. Applicants are encouraged to ensure their proposals clearly demonstrate community benefit, sustainability, and value for money.

Further details on eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found on Farnham Town Council’s website at www.farnham.gov.uk.

The Farnham Town Council Offices will closed all day on Tuesday 17 March 2026 due to a scheduled power outage by SSE.
