Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
As Farnham has a Neighbourhood Plan, Farnham Town Council receives Neighbourhood CIL contributions from monies collected by Waverley Borough Council from some types of development.
In Farnham, Neighbourhood CIL has funded the upgrading of the public toilet in Central car park, a new playground in Gostrey Meadow and will be used to fund a new amenity building, including toilet facilities, in Gostrey Meadow in 2026.
Farnham Town Council does not currently allocate Neighbourhood CIL due to funding of vital projects to improve and provide public facilities for the wider community. When further funding is available, a bidding process will be introduced.
