Farnham Neighbourhood Plan
The Farnham Neighbourhood Plan was shaped by local residents and became part of the Development Plan of Waverley Borough Council in April 2020.
It sits alongside the Waverley Local Plan and carries full weight in determining all planning applications in Farnham.
The Neighbourhood Plan contains 32 policies covering a wide range of issues.
The main policy is FNP1, which is concerned with all aspects of design but there are additional policies on Conservation Areas, local centres, the countryside and biodiversity. Policy FNP 11 deals specifically with the avoidance of coalescence, as the Neighbourhood Plan seeks to maintain the separation between character areas within the town.
There is a policy for each of the housing allocations and further policies on residential extensions, sport and leisure and the provision of infrastructure.
