Funding boost available for local groups

Published: Thursday October 30, 2025

Farnham Town Council is inviting local community organisations, charities and voluntary groups to apply for funding through its Community Grants scheme and South Street Trust Grants. These grants provide vital financial support to help deliver projects, events and initiatives that benefit the people of Farnham.

Community Grants awarded for 2025/26 are helping fund a wide range of local activities and support including £1,000 to Helen Arkell for specialist dyslexia support for people from lower income families and £750 to Farnham Assist to help provide Christmas lunches for around 100 older people. South Street Trust grants have supported creative initiatives such as a competition for 8–15-year-olds to design and make a hat using found and recycled materials and a painting workshop for year 10 students at Farnham Heath End School.

Councillor Graham White, Leader of Farnham Town Council says: “Farnham is fortunate to have an incredibly active and passionate voluntary sector, whose work makes a real difference to people’s lives. Our grants help unlock even more of this potential, enabling groups to run new projects, strengthen our community and bring people together.”

Community Grants are open to any not-for-profit organisation delivering services or activities that support Farnham residents. South Street Trust grants specifically fund visual arts projects within the Farnham Town Council area.

Applying is simple: complete the online application form with details about your project and submit by 17 November.
