Farnham Remembrance Parade and Service
Come together and line Farnham’s streets for the town’s annual Remembrance parade and service.
The parade will assemble in Castle Street from 10am, setting off at 10.25am for the war memorial at Gostrey Meadow, where the service will begin at 10.45am. At 11am, the town will join together in the traditional two-minute silence, followed by the Last Post, readings, and the laying of wreaths.
After the service, the parade will continue with a march past. Members of the armed forces, uniformed services, youth organisations, and dignitaries will take part, with the Mayor of Farnham, Councillor George Murray, HH Christopher Critchlow DL, and visiting guests taking the salute outside the Town Hall on South Street.
To ensure the event proceeds safely, rolling road closures will be in place from 10am to 11.45am. These will affect Castle Street, parts of The Borough, South Street, Victoria Road, and Brightwells Road.
In addition to the main event, services of remembrance will also take place in Badshot Lea, The Bourne, Hale, Rowledge, Weybourne, and Wrecclesham, allowing communities across Farnham to pay their respects and honour the men and women who gave their lives in service to their country.
