Plastic Free Farnham
Plastic Free Farnham is a volunteer-led community initiative work to reduce plastic waste in our town. We are part of a national movement supported by Surfers Against Sewage and our mission is simple: ‘To inspire and support the Farnham community, including residents, businesses and local councils, to reduce plastic waste creating a cleaner, greener town for everyone.’
Why it matters in Farnham
Plastic waste harms our rivers, pollutes green spaces and threatens local wildlife which rely on clean waterways to thrive. By reducing unnecessary plastic, Farnham can protect the places and species that make our town special.
What we do
- partner with local organisations such as Space2Grow, The Maltings and University for the Creative Arts.
- support local businesses to become Plastic Free Champions such as Hog’s Back Brewery, Ruby Jones Home and Milk Club.
- work with Farnham Town Council and our partners to encourage sustainable policies and practices.
- share resources and celebrate those leading the way in reducing plastic waste.
