Farnham in Bloom is the title of our entry into the annual South and South East in Bloom competition. It is an event that takes place throughout the year and involves local people and community organisations working together to make lasting improvements to the town and surrounding villages.

The competition is about more than flowers. Entries are judged on:

  • horticultural achievement
  • environmental responsibility, and
  • community participation

This year we entered five categories and we provided the judges with the following portfolios to demonstrate our work and achievements:-

Since entering the town centre into South and South East in Bloom for the first time in 2008, we have won:

  • Gold in the S&SEiB Town Centre category nine times
  • Gold in the S&SEiB Large Town category eight times
  • The S&SEiB Large Town regional category five years in a row
  • The S&SEiB Chairman’s Award for Post 19 and Bishop’s Meadow
  • Gold in the RHS Britain in Bloom Awards and Joint Category Winner in 2017
  • Gold in the RHS Britain in Bloom Awards and Category winner in 2019

In 2017, The Victoria Garden received ‘Thriving’ in the It’s Your Neighbourhood Award and Silver Gilt in the Small Parks Category. Gostrey Meadow also received Silver Gilt in the Small Parks category.
