Applying for a Farnham allotment

To put your name on the allotment waiting list please complete our allotment application form. We will need to know your:

  • name
  • address
  • telephone number and email address, and
  • where you would like to have an allotment. It is helpful if you put down your first, second and third choices.

Waiting list times vary from site to site but are approximately six months to 1 year.

However, for the Morley Road and Wrecclesham sites the wait is approximately 1-2 years.

Please note that due to the high demand for plots, we are not currently accepting applications from those that reside outside of Farnham Town Council’s boundary.

Taking on an allotment can be both challenging and rewarding. Many new allotment holders find that they quickly develop new skills and knowledge and see the development of their allotment as part of a positive lifestyle choice. However, an allotment is a commitment so you should consider whether you have a regular amount of time that you can commit each week to work the plot.  Working full time or having other commitments need to be taken into account. We recommend visiting your plot at least twice a week (around 8 hours in total) to stay on top of weeding and other jobs.

Allotment charges

Prices of allotment plots vary dependent upon size but an average plot is £57.50 per year.

New allotment holders are subject to a one off £25 administration fee.

New allotment holders must also agree as part of their tenancy to pay an annual £2 fee for third party insurance cover which is arranged by the Town Council.
