Line the parade route for Farnham’s annual Remembrance Day commemoration on Sunday 13 November.
The parade will assemble in Castle Street at around 10.30am and will march along The Borough and South Street before entering Gostrey Meadow via Union Road. The parade will include the Mayor, Councillor Alan Earwaker, members of the Farnham Branch of the Royal British Legion, the uniformed services and local representatives.
Wreaths will be laid after the 2 minutes silence at 11am. This will be followed by hymns, prayers, and the National Anthem.
After the service, representatives of the armed forces, other uniformed services and young people’s organisations will take part in a march past where the salute will be taken by Deputy Lieutenant Brigadier Roger Hood QVRM TD DL, the Mayor of Waverley Councillor John Ward and the Mayor of Farnham Cllr Alan Earwaker.before proceeding back to the Town Council’s offices.
Temporary road closures will be in place from 10am to 12 noon. The roads affected include Union Road, South Street, Castle Street, The Borough and Victoria Road.
Services will also take place at the war memorials in Badshot Lea, the Bourne, Hale, Rowledge, Weybourne and Wrecclesham.
