Waverley Borough Council is hosting a special engagement session with the Leader of the Council, Cllr Paul Follows, together with local ward councillors. In the session, they  will explain what Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) is, outline the different options being considered, and show you how to get involved.

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions about what these changes could mean for you, your family, and your community.

Right now, the government is running a consultation on the future of local government in Surrey, open until 5 August. Two options are being considered: reorganising Surrey into either three or two unitary authorities. While this isn’t a traditional public consultation, it’s the only opportunity residents, community groups, and stakeholders will get to share their views with the government.
