Italian treats in Farnham

Stall with various meats and male stallholder

The popular Italian market, which first made an appearance in Farnham last year will return to Castle Street later this month.

Fresh, tasty and authentic Italian produce will be on sale between 9am and 4pm on Friday 22 April. Market organisers, Italia in Piazza travel the length and breadth of Italy to source quality local products. Shoppers will be able to buy a variety of cheese from Lombardy, handpicked olives and pasta and sauces from southern Italy.

Iain Lynch, Farnham Town Clerk says: “Last September’s Italian market went down so well and we have had lots of people asking us when the market will return. I am delighted that it has been possible to arrange this second market.

“The market stallholders are real Italian food lovers and are very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge about how best to enjoy their delicious food. They will also have plenty of samples for people to try so it’s a great opportunity to discover some new mouth-watering treats.”

The market stalls will be pitched in the car parking bays at the lower end of Castle Street on the same side as Hamptons International estate agents.
