Date/Time
Saturday 14 June 2025 - 19.00 - 21.30
Location
A Gospel singing workshop open to all who want to learn, love to sing or even think they can’t sing. No singing experience required, just a set of lungs and a bit of courage. Come and join the joy!
Led by Tim Uffindell from Gospel Collective who strongly believes EVERYONE has a voice. He hopes to encourage all people to sing and loves nothing more than facilitating that ‘lightbulb’ moment where someone realises they CAN sing…and they can enjoy it too!
What is a ‘Come and Sing’ workshop?
– A singing workshop to create a collective group of voices to learn a Gospel song from top to bottom, back to font and side to side in 2.5 hours of fun and joy (includes a short break) – Learn how to sing a harmony (different parts) wherever is comfortable for your voice, as well as general vocal techniques and some specific to the Gospel genre – A chance to try something different and find out you DO have a voice – It’s a one-off with no further commitment required, so you don’t have much (if anything) to lose – Ticket prices are scaled to fit all budgets (funds shouldn’t be a barrier to attending)
What’s the song?
“With God I Can” by Bishop Larry Trotter. An up-tempo Gospel song about perseverance and overcoming obstacles.
Why?
– Because singing is FUN and really good for you! – The energy of Gospel music and the themes explored are powerful and uplifting – Life is better in community and experiencing singing in a group is a fantastic way to encourage this – You DO have a voice and we would love for you to discover it
Who?
