Community grants 2016

Organisations in Farnham and the surrounding villages are invited to apply for funding of up to £2,000 through Farnham Town Council’s Community Grant scheme.

Every year, Farnham Town Council provides over £50,000 to community projects. A wide variety of applications are supported, including initiatives that enhance youth, leisure, sport and play facilities, community transport projects and cultural, arts and heritage schemes.

Councillor John Ward, the Mayor of Farnham says: “We’re looking for projects that promote our environment or support community life for local residents of the town or the surrounding villages that fall within the Town Council catchment area.

“Every year we receive applications for some truly worthwhile projects. Two fabulous projects we have been able to support this year include a grant of £1,000 to Farnham Brass Band to help with tuition for its younger band members and £700 to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care for the purchase of some special crockery for use on a food trolley in its in-patient unit. We always receive many applications so if anybody is thinking about applying, I would urge them to read the grant guidelines carefully as we can only support projects that meet the criteria.”

The application form and guidance is available on our Grants page.
