Farnham is invited to round-off carnival weekend by coming along to the town’s biggest picnic between 12 and 5pm on Sunday 26 June at Gostrey Meadow.

Thousands are expected to attend the free event, which will include a number of attractions and live music from several local bands including Ukelele Jam, Betsa Beats, Voice & Keys, Danny Lee Band and The Arc Band.

Picnic in the Park is organised by Farnham Town Council and is sponsored by the Duke of Cambridge pub, which is part of the Red Mist Leisure Group. The summer programme of Music in the Meadow is sponsored by Savills.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “After the fun of the carnival, Picnic in the Park is the perfect way to wind down and relax with some friends. All you need to do is bring a chair or a blanket, something to eat and drink and a few friends or family members. We will provide the entertainment and have great bands lined up – they promise to play a variety of music that will appeal to all tastes.”

Food stalls will include Ladda Thai Cuisine, The Sussex Sausage, Mini Angels and Popped Truck Ltd. The picnic is a family event and is suitable for all ages.
