Farnham’s Annual Town Meeting is set to take place on Thursday 23 March at 7pm in the Barley Room at the Farnham Maltings. The meeting will be chaired by the Mayor of Farnham, Councillor Alan Earwaker, and will feature presentations by councillors responsible for key areas such as tourism, events, and community enhancement.

Councillor Alan Earwaker says: “This year’s meeting is especially important, as it is the last before the upcoming local elections in May. It provides an opportunity for electors who live or work in the Farnham Town Council area to find out more about the Council’s work, what it has accomplished over the past year and what it has planned for the next 12 months. Anybody who is thinking about standing in this year’s elections to represent the town council will also be able to find out more about what is involved.”

Among the achievements of the outgoing administration are the Neighbourhood Plan Review, being awarded a Green Flag for Gostrey Meadow, Craft Town/World Craft City Status, Council of the Year 2021, and In Bloom Gold and Category Winners 2019 and Gold in 2022.

All Farnham electors are welcome to attend the meeting and are free to ask questions and make comments about issues relating to Farnham. If the matter is not a Town Council responsibility, town councillors present will do their best to answer the question or follow up with the relevant organisation.

To help with catering arrangements, attendees are asked to call 01252 712667 or email customer.services@farnham.gov.uk to confirm their attendance.
