Farnham’s Mayor, Councillor Pat Evans opened a new pop-up shop, Making Matters, in the Lion and Lamb Courtyard on Thursday (8 October). The shop is hosting the work of 20 local artists throughout October for the town’s Craft Month.

The Mayor says: “In Farnham we are celebrating the talents of many of our local artists throughout October Craft Month and encouraging more people to try out crafting. As a designated World Craft Town, it is no surprise that we have an abundance of highly talented artists across a range of arts, craft and design techniques. Some of the best of our established and emerging artists are showing their works in the pop-up shop. Make sure you visit to browse the exhibits which are also available for sale.”

The Craft and Design Pop-up shop offers an opportunity to meet the makers and buy directly or you can simply admire the displays of hand-crafted jewellery, ceramics, prints, glassware, textiles, metal and silverworks as well as pieces of fine art and soft furnishings. The shop is open until 8 November from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
