Farnham gets crafty for the day

Market stall displaying cushions and craft items.

This Sunday (25 October) Farnham Town Council is holding an open-air, art and craft makers market in West Street from 10am to 4pm.

An eclectic mix of handmade work will be available to buy from nearly 40 artists and craft makers. Some of the craft items for sale will include contemporary and upcycled jewellery, quirky robotic items made from found objects, children’s clothing, felt toys and garments, ceramics and stoneware, Christmas decorations, portraiture and watercolour artwork and upholstery.

Councillor Alan Earwaker, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “As a World Craft Town we are delighted to have an opportunity to support local makers with this one-day market during October Craft Month.

“West Street will be closed to traffic from The Hart to Downing Street so shoppers will have more space to browse the stalls and maintain a safe social distance.”

The market has been organised in partnership with ACVR Events. Current Government guidelines will be followed. For more information contact events@farnham.gov.uk.
