New date for Spring Clean

Group of people in high viz jackets holding sacks and litter picks

A new date has been set for the Great British Spring Clean of Farnham town centre.

The community litter pick, which was due to take place last month was postponed because of the snow. It will now be held on Saturday 14 April and Farnham Town Council is calling for volunteers to join in. Anybody wishing to take part is invited to meet at the Council office in South Street at 10am.

Farnham Town Council will provide protective clothing such as gloves and high visibility jackets, as well as litter pickers and black sacks. Families, young people, individuals and community groups will be warmly welcomed.

As a small ‘thank you’, tea, coffee and cake will be served to volunteers in the Council office at the end of the litter pick.

For more information or to find out how to organise a litter pick in the area where you live, please contact Lara Miller at Farnham Town Council on 01252 712667 or email lara.miller@farnham.gov.uk.
