Hot stuff at the Farnham Farmers’ Market

Farnham is ‘hotting’ up with some lovely spring sunshine and the arrival of a new stallholder at the Farnham Farmers’ Market on Sunday 27 April.

Jimmy Ginger’s Fine Chilli Products will be selling chilli sauces, ketchup, plants, smoked chillis and dried chillis. Some chilli ketchup could be the perfect accompaniment to have with some prize-winning sausages from Hunts Hill Farm. The farm recently entered the BPEC sausage competition at Ardingly and won two gold awards. Their prize-winning flavours are pork, apple and caramelised onion and pork, mustard and honey. Both types of sausage will be available to buy.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “I am looking forward to meeting our new stallholder and I am sure their products will be very well received by shoppers. I would also like to offer my congratulations to Hunts Hill Farm for winning two gold awards for their wonderful sausages. This is further proof that farmers’ market produce is tastier and always has an interesting story attached to it.”

The April market will see the return of Sopley Farm who will be selling the first soft fruits of the season along with some tasty spring vegetables. Seale Nurseries will be making their first appearance at the 2014 markets and will be selling locally grown roses.

The charity tea tent will be hosted by Bells Piece, which is a Farnham-based home offering 24-hour care to adults with learning difficulties.

Farnham Farmers’ Market is held on the fourth Sunday of every month in Central car park between 10am and 1.30pm. To find out more about booking a pitch or for more information about the Market contact Ginny Gordon on 01252 712667 or email ginny.gordon@farnham.gov.uk.
