Fourteen local pubs and restaurants are offering customers an exclusive three-course meal during The Food Fortnight, which begins on Saturday 13 September.

The Food Fortnight will begin with a delicious three-course menu served by The Royal Oak at Wrecclesham. This will be followed on Sunday by The Wheatsheaf Pub & Grill, who are this year’s Gold sponsor for the Feast of Food. Much of their menu will include locally sourced ingredients such as carrots and watercress from Secretts at Milford, duck from West Sussex and real ale from the Hog’s Back Brewery.

As well as pubs in Farnham town centre, several restaurants from the surrounding areas are also taking part. Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “The menus being offered by the restaurants and pubs for The Food Fortnight look delicious. Over two weeks there will be a chance to eat some fantastic food from all around the world. The difficult choice will be deciding whether to have Italian, Thai, English, French or Indian.”

The Food Fortnight is part of Feast of Food, which is organised by Farnham Town Council and supported by principle sponsor BBS Ltd.

To mark the end of Feast of Food, Castle Street will host a Food Festival on Saturday 27 September and a Farmers’ Market on Sunday 28 September.
