Farnham to Guildford via North Downs Way (#25)
Level of difficulty Moderate level of fitness required.
Starting point: At the start of the NDW, very near Farnham Railway Station at traffic lights on A31 (Farnham By-pass) .
Duration/ distance: 12 miles (20km)
The walk route: Walk eastwards along the first part of the North Downs Way, from the start point near the traffic lights on the A31, close to Farnham Station, through to the River Wey in Guildford. The path is well way-marked, and easily followed on the OS map (1:25,000 Sheet 145). At the river,  turn north, and walk along the towpath on the west side of the Godalming Navigation (National Trust)  into Guildford Town, past Millmead Lock. A good place for a lunch stop is the eastern end of Puttenham Common (good views), or alternatively enjoy some refreshments at the Good Intent PH in Puttenham.
