Farnham in Bloom has inspired the creation of several arts projects that involve the wider community.

Schools’ art mural project

A few years ago, we organised a project involving Farnham’s secondary schools and sixth form college.

Students from Heath End, Weydon and Farnham Sixth Form  created four 6ft by 3ft Farnham in Bloom murals.

We were pleased to partner with The Dance Movement for the third year running.

2016’s project built on previous year’s success and involved 150 children from in and around Farnham. The theme was the ‘Green Man’, which is often interpreted as a symbol that represents the cycle of growth.

Blooming art workshops

Local artist Jo Aylwin is keen to get people discovering their creative side for Farnham in Bloom. For the third year, she has running free collage workshops. The theme is ‘Cycle’ which be anything from recycle to the cycle of the seasons.
