Saturday 23 November 2019 - 10.00 - 15.30

Farnham Adult Learning Centre

During the workshop you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of a range of basic traditional patchwork and quilting techniques relevant to your festive item e.g. rotary cutting, joining shapes, quilting and binding. Instruction will be given for you to make a runner or central table mat. It may not be possible to complete larger or more complex items on the day, but instructions will be given in order that you may finish at home.

This course can be studied in isolation or considered as an introduction into a much larger subject area and makes for a creative hobby, with further courses offered throughout the year.

A ‘needs list’ will be sent out before the start of the course which will include what you need and where to go to buy fabric. You are required to provide your own fabric and thread to complete your individual project and will need basic sewing equipment, eg pins, needles and scissors etc. Rotary cutting equipment and sewing machines belonging to the centre are available to use during the course.
