The Farnham Food and Drink Festival returns to the heart of Farnham for the 15th year in September 2024. The Borough and Castle Street will be closed off to traffic for the day and ready for another fantastic ‘feastival’.

What to expect

Expect a multi-sensory experience: watch food and drink demos, browse over 100 stalls and discover a huge selection of food and drink products to try out and purchase, information talks, kitchen equipment, live music and a lively atmosphere.

The festival is suitable for all ages and entry is free.

Food and drink demonstrations

Food

Head to the bottom of Castle Street for the food theatre.

Emmy-nominated television chef, presenter, and food writer Ching-He Huang will demonstrate how to make the mildly spicy and sweet Chinese Chicken Curry that’s featured in her latest cookery book Wok For Less. The book will be available to buy at the Farnham Town Council gazebo opposite the stage (A01).

Ben Piette of Maison Resturant in Wrecclesham offers ‘no menu’ tasting – everything is subject to change until it’s on the plate! Ben will be cooking up vension with seasonal produce.

There will also be demonstrations by Lorna’s Indian Kitchen, Henry Hampshire, and Petite Patisserie.

Drink

The drinks demonstration stage is located in the Bush Hotel Courtyard where there will also be live music performances by local artists.

Other entertainment

There will be an acoustic music stage at the top of Castle Street and Farnham Taiko Drummers will perform at the top of Downing street.

Getting to the Food Festival

The town centre will be busy, avoid driving if possible.

Free shuttle bus

Between 10am and 4.30pm, we will be operating a free hoppa bus service covering north and south Farnham. The buses will run at 15-20 minute intervals.

Parking

If you do take the car, Sunday parking is free in Waverley pay and display car parks.

Cycling

Farnham has several bike racks a short walk from the festival location.

Bus

Details of local bus services are published by Surrey County Council.

Train

Castle Street is approximately a 10-minute walk from Farnham station. Plan your journey in advance.
