Heritage Open Days includes open buildings, guided walks and talks.

Farnham Town Council is pleased to support Heritage Open Days and to provide the venue for the following events:

‘Two Great Illustrators, Randolph Caldecott and Pauline Baynes’ – a talk by Roy Waight. No booking required

Saturday 9 September. 10.30am at Farnham Town Hall, South Street

The artist Randolph Caldecott, 1846-1886, essentially originated children’s book illustration. He lived for the latter part of life in Frensham. A century later Pauline Baynes, illustrator for C.S. Lewis’s Narnia series and J. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings lived just a mile away.
