This year’s Heritage Open Days will shine the spotlight on the town’s heritage as seen from out of doors.

Visitors are invited to join town centre tours led by experts who will take you to little known parts of the town and explain the history and detail of the beautiful buildings which line the streets. In the surrounding areas of the town there will be adventurous walks revealing the area’s history and natural history.

The programme offers four open days and 21 outdoor tours.

The guided tours must be booked in advance and will be limited to a maximum of 12 people.
