Kate Kennington Steer is a painter, photographer and poet. Experiencing unexplained periods of paralysis and seizures throughout adult life, in 2019 Kate was diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). These images are Kate’s emotional responses – made during her seizures since August 2021 – via the medium of one-finger digital ‘painting’ on her iPad. They are shown here publicly for the first time.
