Farmers Market to include crafts

Craft tools

Farnham Town Council is extending its support for local producers and makers by introducing handmade craft at the Farmers’ Market.

Blue Daisy, which sells handmade bags and fleece pet blankets made their first appearance at last month’s market and received positive feedback from shoppers.

Councillor Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “We are always looking for fresh ways to improve the services we offer residents. Farmers’ Markets provide an opportunity for the public to meet growers and producers, ask questions about their products and perhaps try a free sample or two. The format of the Farmers’ Market works very well, and we believe it will be a winning formula for craft makers too. We would be delighted to hear from anybody who makes their own products and who is interested in attending the market.”

The April Farmers’ Market is on Sunday 22 April from 10am to 1.30pm and will include a guest appearance from Bergamia Tea, which was formerly known as Tiger Spring Tea. Farnham Rotary will be selling tickets for the duck race on Saturday 5 May and The Ridgeway School will be hosting the charity tea tent.

The market is held in Central car park. There is no charge for Sunday parking in Waverley owned pay and display car parks.
