Walking in Farnham
The picturesque and rolling countryside is a reason alone to explore what is on offer in Farnham and the surrounding area. There are various local walks allowing you to do so.
Farnham Town Walks
Farnham Town Walks take place on the first Sunday of the month at 11am from Wagon Yard Car Park, in the town centre. The guided walk is the perfect opportunity to experience Farnham’s past and present. The walk covers 2-3 miles and lasts approximately 2 hours. The cost is £3 per head and all money is donated to local charities. Walks for private groups can be arranged at other times to suit. Contact 01252 718119 for more information.
Farnham Heritage Trail

- Heritage Trail Plaque
Farnham’s rich history and heritage can be discovered when walking the Farnham Heritage Trail. The self-guided circular route, which can be started at any point in the town centre, lasts approximately 2 hours. Farnham Heritage Trail plaques can be found at each site, corresponding to the numbers in the leaflet. The leaflet can be collected from the Visitor Information Points or you can download a copy here.
Ghost Walks of Farnham

Walks for Health Initiative
Walks for health is a Waverley Borough Council scheme, which is part of the national 'Walking the Way to Health' initiative.
Walks in Farnham occur every Tuesday at 10.30am. All walks depart from Brightwell's Gostrey Centre, Dogflud Way. All walks start by walking through the town centre and then heading out to some of the nearby countryside surrounding the town centre, lasting 40 minutes - 1 hour. The walks are led by trained volunteers.
