Moor Park Heritage Trail
A relatively short walk outside the town centre is the Moor Park Heritage Trail. Although only a distance of some 1.4km (0.9 miles) this walk does contain ten thousand years of history!

En route is a Middle Stone Age camp, a mysterious and ancient cave with its legends, the home and historic garden of Sir William Temple, as well as many remnants of world war II defences.
Information panels have been placed at strategic points along the walk to give some interesting facts about the features highlighted.
The trail is in close proximity to Waverley Abbey, therefore it is worth combining a visit to the Abbey when walking the trail.

Please note that the surface of the path is a weather dependent surface of packed earth. Though firm when dry, the surface will become slippery and soft in places when wet, especially during the winter months. Some parts of the trail may be too steep for those with manual wheelchairs.
