Farnham is a creative town. Not only is it home to the University for the Creative Arts but it also has numerous art galleries.
After arriving in Farnham, spend the morning exploring the Craft Study Centre, located at the University for the Creative Arts. The Craft Study Centre has an international standing as a unique collection and archive of 20th century British crafts. The collection embraces ceramics, textiles, calligraphy and wood, accompanied by reference books including makers diaries, documents, photographs and working notes.
Stop for lunch in one of the town's many cafes and restaurants.
Returning to the University for the Creative Arts, take a visit to the James and Hockey and Foyer Galleries. The exhibitions programme embraces a diversity of disciplines and art forms.
Afterwards, head to the New Ashgate Gallery, which gives visitors the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work in both fine and applied arts. Exhibitions include the work of professional artists and craftspeople not only of fame but also of promise.
