The sparkling and dazzling switch on event truly kicks off the Christmas festivities in Farnham and is definitely not to be missed!
96.4 Eagle Radio is hosting the fun-filled event and activities include a charity market, giving you a great opportunity to buy your Christmas gifts for the whole family, a children’s roundabout is sure to keep the little ones amused and make sure you have written your wish list, as Father Christmas will be visiting especially to collect letters and handing out sweets to all those who have been good this year.
Local school children will be singing carols, plus there will be a performance from the Farnham Rock Choir and Peter Pan and his friends will be taking time out from their pantomime rehearsals at the Princes Hall in Aldershot to help with the count down.
The magnificent lights will glisten into life at 6pm when the magic button is pressed by the Town Mayor, Councillor Gillian Beel, who will be joined by Paralympian Gold Medal Winner; Rachel Morris.
Please note there will be a full road closure in East Street between the junction of Dogflud Way and South Street, from 1pm - 8pm. Traffic will be diverted behind the Woolmead, which will be become two way.
