Farnham has a strong cultural heritage and identity. This is apparent from its numerous art and craft galleries within the town and surrounding areas.
New Ashgate Gallery

New Ashgate Gallery is an educational charity that programmes selling exhibitions of contemporary fine art and applied arts. The gallery has been conveniently situated in Farnham town centre since the 1960's.
There are regular solo and group exhibitions of high quality work by highly regarded artists and makers alongside new and exciting talent. On the first Saturday of every month, exhibitions of work are updated so regular visitors can always be certain to find something new to inspire and excite. Alongside the main exhibitions, affordable craft pieces and prints are on display, suited for any budget. There is a large display of contemporary jewellery in a designated gallery showing the work of over 20 leading jewellers.

Part of the university, the James Hockey & Foyer Galleries are open to the public. Here the exhibitions programme embraces a diversity of disciplines and art forms, including work by students and professionals from Britain and abroad.
