The Town Mayor

The Town Mayor holds office from the Mayor Making ceremony generally held in May for one year, until the ceremony of the following year. The Town Mayor has the opportunity to promote and uphold the character of Farnham as well as preside over meeting of Full Council. The Mayor also has the opportunity to raise funds during the Year of Office for his/her named charity.
The Farnham Town Mayor for the year 2010/11 is Councillor John Ward. Cllr Ward will be supported by Councillor Jill Hargreaves as Deputy Mayor.
How can I get the Mayor to my function?
The Town Mayor likes to support as many of the local community organisations as possible. If you would like Mayor to attend or open an event eg fete, AGM, concert, play, open a new building etc, please either e-mail Janet Stanton, Civic Co-ordinator or download the Mayors Function Form.
