Farnham Town Council owns and manages the cemeteries at the following locations in Farnham:
- West Street
- Alma Lane, Hale
- Badshot Lea
- Green Lane
Farnham Town Council has introduced a Cemeteries Charter which explains the rights of the users of the Farnham Cemeteries. The Council has also introduced Regulations for the Farnham run cemeteries. The regulations outline what is permitted in the cemeteries.
This section of the website will give you information on the Burial Services available, how to get to the 4 cemeteries, the history of the cemeteries and how to do genealogy research.
Access to the Cemeteries
Each cemetery has a small area where you can park your car.
However, if you have a mobility problem and would like access to take your car to a grave side please telephone
- the Council Offices Monday to Friday 01252 712667, between 9am and 5pm, (please note calls maybe recorded or monitored for training purposes) to arrange access between 9am and 3pm
- at a weekend telephone 07923 835314, between 10am and 4pm, to arrange access between 10am and 4pm
Unauthorised Memorials & Tributes
The Council has received a number of complaints and concerns from cemetery users about the growing number of unauthorised memorials and tributes. In addition, some of these tributes may adversely affect the standard of maintenance of the cemetery.
