Pumping Water from the River Wey
The installation of over 250 hanging baskets and tubs is now almost complete.
The floral tributes to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain near the War Memorial in Gostrey Meadow and the Centenary Year of The Girl Guides beside the Police station, will be planted in the coming days.
The floral displays will now be cared for and watered by FTC staff using special reservoirs within the containers which reduce watering times. All the water used has been pumped from the River Wey.
The wonderful floral displays have been made possible by the support of 95 sponsors drawn from local residents and the business and retail community. Farnham Town Council is grateful to the following for their generous support.
