Design Statement to be Considered at Council Meeting

Farnham Town Council has been working with local residents associations and local organisations to develop a Farnham Design Statement.
The pressure to develop and build is greater than ever. Although Farnham Town Council has no power to control the planning process, we do have the opportunity to influence new planning policies by putting together our own ‘Farnham Design Statement’.
The intention is to submit the Farnham Design Statement to Waverley Borough Council (the planning authority) for acceptance as Material Consideration.
We have now completed a Consultation Document after gathering the information from local residents and the Document will be considered for adoption at the next Farnham Town Council meeting taking place on 3 June 2010 at 7pm in the Council Chamber.
Once it has been adopted by Full Council it will then be submitted to Waverley Borough Council for acceptance as Material Consideration at it’s Council meeting in July 2010.
