Celebrate National Family Week at Tilford

14.05.2010
Category: Local news

Throughout half-term, from Monday 31st May until Sunday 6th June (except Tuesday), the Rural Life Centre at Reeds Road, Tilford is participating in "National Family Week", the UK's biggest annual celebration of family life, aiming to highlight the importance of quality time together and promote the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. (Further details can be found at www.nationalfamilyweek.co.uk.)

Come along rain or shine. Pack your picnic and head to this fascinating countryside museum just south of Farnham town. Here you will be able to spend some family time together exploring the displays and reconstructed buildings on the lovely ten acre woodland site. Then take a break and enjoy your picnic amongst the reminders of a bygone age.

During the week one child is admitted free with each paying adult and there is no extra charge to join in with the self-led family friendly activities on offer: Rag Rug making, traditional toys and games, period costumes and many other "hands on" activities for all ages to enjoy.

The Rural Life Centre, an accredited museum of village life, lies midway between Tilford and Frensham in Reeds Road off the A287, three miles south of Farnham. For further information telephone  01252 795571  or visit the website at www.rural-life.org.uk.
