A One-Day Celebration For All!
Listen, watch, have a go and get creative, as Farnham Maltings and Farnham Town Council present a one-day community arts festival with events and activities suitable for all!
It’s the fifth festival of its kind at the Maltings and following the great success of hosting events in Gostrey Meadow in 2009, activities and entertainment will once again ‘spread’ along the river to the meadow, with market stalls, entertainment, food and drink from 11am - 5pm.
At the Maltings, activities will take place in every space from the Great Hall to the car park, offering visitors a chance to experience the kind of events that take place in the building throughout the year. Expect an enticing mix of live music, theatre, dance, circus, workshops, stand-up comedy (featuring the brilliant Jim Tavare – the funniest double bass player in the world!), singing, games, a barn dance and much more.
Delicious food and drink will be served both at the Maltings and in Gostrey Meadow, including ‘Foods from Around the World’, a barbecue, succulent hog roast, Spanish Paella, traditional cream teas, Pimm’s and strawberries and cream!
The festival will start at 11am and finish with a grand firework finale at 10.30pm – end the day with a bang! All day entry to the Maltings is only £1 – covering events and activities throughout the day, with re-entry permitted as many times as you wish!
Suitable for all ages, the Farnham Spring Festival is a real treat for all the community and offers a great opportunity to get creative, get involved and discover the kind of events and activities the Maltings offers throughout the year.
Applauded as a “vibrant, creative and joyful” delight last year, the Maltings and Farnham Town Council are once again delighted to celebrate the coming of spring and the wonderful community spirit of the town with a festival for all!
