The next stage for the Design Statement
The next stage for the Town Design Statement The Design statement exhibitions run by Farnham Town Council finished last week on Tuesday 9th February 2010 ‘and there is great support for the Council to produce a document that will strengthen the current Local Plan and enable us to fight against unacceptable development . The exhibitions were very well attended and provided a great deal of comments and additional information which has been incorporated in the consultation draft’commented Cllr Roger Steel.
Farnham Town Council is now taking all the comments and amending the draft document whilst also meeting with the Planning Department at Waverley to strengthen the guidelines.
The amended Town Design Statement document will be consulted on between 15th March and 30th April 2010. Wendy Coulter, Committee Services Co-ordinator comments ‘we will hopefully be taking the consultation out around Farnham, including attending the Farmers’ Market in March and April and whilst also making the document available in the Council Offices and on the website www.farnham.gov.uk’. #
Final amendments will then take place in May with the completed Town Design Statement being sent to Waverley Borough Council in June for it to be adopted at the full Council meeting on the 20th July 2010.
All those that attended the exhibitions and opted for information to be sent will automatically be sent the revised draft version, but if you were unable to attend and would like to a copy please tel 01252 712667 or email info(at)farnham.gov.uk
