The Book of Remembrance

If you’ve visited West Street Cemetery recently, you will have noticed the new ‘Garden of Reflection’ organised by Farnham Town Council.

The Garden of Reflection will be officially opened by the Town Mayor and the chairman of the Cemeteries Working Group, Cllr Carole Cockburn on Wednesday 10th February at 10am.   The Garden has transformed an unused area of the cemetery, where people can now sit and remember their loved ones.

Ashes can be scattered in the garden and it features a ‘Book of Remembrance’ where people can purchase a plaque as a memorial to a loved one at a small fee. The Council are also running an ‘Adopt a Bench’ scheme within the cemetery, where people can purchase either part of or a whole bench as a memorial.

A full copy of the costs are available to download from www.farnham.gov.uk/towncouncil/cemeteries.html
