Badshot Lea Village Pond all clean and tidy
Community Spirit was high when over 13 volunteers turned up on Sunday 24th January to help tidy Badshot Lea Village Pond.
Volunteers worked for 6 hours to help clear the overgrown weeds and vegetation as well as cutting back the trees and foliage encroaching on the pond.
All the work will allow more light onto the pond, help keep nesting ducks safe and encourage the wildlife to flourish.
The clearance was organised jointly between Farnham Town Council and Waverley Borough Council, Cllr David Attfield commented ‘it was a great success’.
Both Farnham Town Council and Waverley Borough Council would like to thank each of the volunteers that gave their time and also those residents that made hot drinks for the volunteers and offered the use of their facilities!
