Wicked Weather Reaches Farnham
Although the South East of England seems to have escaped the worst of the wicked weather, it did manage to reach Farnham at the weekend.
Farnham Town Council made the difficult decision to close the Farmers’ Market in Central car park last Sunday 22nd November due to the extreme weather conditions. After one hours trading, one of the stallholders’ products and gazebo were sent flying by the strong gusts of wind.
The council were concerned for the health and safety of the stallholders and members of the public and the decision to close the Market was not taken lightly. A few of the stallholders remained, at their own risk to continue trading and the weather did in fact clear up a little bit, only to return again later with strong winds and further rain.
However, with the Christmas market only 3 weeks away on 13th December, there is still plenty of time to do your Christmas shopping and if anyone wants to place an order, please click here for stallholders’ contact information.
