New Group to Perform in the Bandstand
The second to last Music in the Meadow concert takes place next Sunday 5th September in Gostrey Meadow.
A new group to the line up will be stepping into the Bandstand to entertain the audience from 3pm – 5pm. The Rushmoor Concert Band, led by Phil Lazenbury will perform music from their popular repertoire, which includes well-known songs from musicals, film TV, radio and pop. The band was formed in 1971 and has approximately 30 members ranging form all ages and backgrounds, quite a few being ex-military musicians.
Light refreshments will be available at the concert from Wayne’s Whippy Ice Cream and the Charity Tea Tent, which will be hosted by 4th Tongham Scouts.
The concert, which is free to attend, will take place from 3pm – 5pm in Gostrey Meadow. However, if adverse weather is forecast, the event will be moved to a venue nearby.
Anyone wishing to attend the event is advised to bring their own chair or picnic rug.
