Schools Hanging Basket Competition

- 2008 winning school - Badshot Lea Infant School
As well as making Farnham awash with flowers, each year a hanging basket competition is run with the infant and junior schools in Farnham.
On average 11 junior and infant schools take part. The hanging basket competition has proved to be very successful with the children being very keen to take part.
Farnham Town Council provides the hanging basket, compost and plants and the children come down to our greenhouses and made up the baskets under the supervision of their teachers.
Farnham Town Council keep the hanging baskets in the poly tunnel until early June when they were delivered to the respective schools for them to look after.
The Town Mayor, with assistance from sponsors Burns and Webber Estate Agents, then judge the baskets in early July.
