School Road, Rowledge - Closed

From 22nd February 2010 for a period of 3 months or until the works are completed.

Surrey County Council will be closing School Road in Rowledge:

A. School Road from its junction with Cherry Tree Road to its junction with Recreation Road.


B. School Road from its junction with Recreation Road for a distance of 85m north west of that point.


C. School Road from its junction with Fullers Road for a distance of 165m south east of that point.

The Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to relay gas mains. 

Alternative Routes:

A. From north western point of closure; north west via School Road to its junction with Fullers Road, south east via Fullers Road to its junction with Cherry Tree Road, south west via Cherry Tree Road to its junction with School Road and south eastern point of closure and vice versa.

B. From north western point of closure; north west via School Road to its junction with Fullers Road, south east via Fullers Road to its junction with Cherry Tree Road, south east via Cherry Tree Road to its junction with School Road, north west via School Road to south eastern point of closure and vice versa.

C. From north western point of closure; south east via Fullers Road to its junction with Cherry Tree Road, south west via Cherry Tree Road to its junction with School Road, north west via School Road to south eastern point of closure and vice versa.

Station Hill - Closed

A temporarily prohibit of all vehicles will be in order from entering or proceeding Station Hill (B3001), Farnham from the eastern side of its junction with Station Road to a point eight metres east of the level crossing.

The Order is necessary to enable Scotia Gas Networks Limited to carry out replacement of 12’’ and 6’ gas mains. The Order will be in effect for a period of three months, which commences on 22nd March 2010 but even that period can be extended by Surrey County Council. This Temporary Traffic Order will not operate simultaneously with “The Surrey County Council Echo Barn Lane (B3384), Shortheath Road (B3384) and Ridgeway Road (B3384) Farnham, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2010”. And will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. It is anticipated the closure will take place between 22nd March 2010 and 17th May 2010.

Alternative Routes:

North-westbound vehicles under 13’9” will be diverted from the south-eastern point of closure along Tilford Road, right into Great Austins continuing into Ridgeway Road, Shortheath Road and Echo Barn Lane, right into A325 Wrecclesham Hill continuing into The Street and Wrecclesham Road, right into Farnham By Pass (Eastbound) to Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, onto Farnham By Pass (Westbound) and left into Station Hill to reach the North-western point of the closure.

North-westbound vehicles over 13’9” will be diverted along the same route to A325 Wrecclesham Hill and then right into Weydon Lane to rejoin the above route on the Farnham By Pass (Eastbound).

South-eastbound vehicles under 13’9” will be diverted from the North-western point of closure along Station Hill, left into Farnham By Pass (Westbound), left into A325 Wrecclesham Road continuing into The Street and Wrecclesham Hill, left into Echo Barn Lane continuing into Shortheath Road, Ridgeway Road and Great Austins and left into Tilford Road to reach the south-eastern end of the closure.

South-eastbound vehicles over 13’9” will diverted along the same route to Farnham By Pass, left into Weydon Lane and left into The Street to continue along the above route.

Vicarage Lane, Upper Hale - Closed

Vicarage Road from Yolland Close to Wood Road will be closed on 5th May 2010 between 09:30 and 15:30 in order for BT Openreach to carry out works.  


Alternative Route:


Heath Lane, Wood Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained for emergency services and residents at all times.
