Celebrate all things food and drink this Food Fortnight.

With over 40 places to eat in Farnham, deciding where to go can be difficult. During this year’s Food Fortnight, a select group of pubs, restaurants and cafes will be serving up a few treats providing the perfect opportunity to give them a try.  There will be a varied selection of offers, exclusive menus and events going on from 16-30 September so treat yourself and discover the fantastic cuisines available in and around Farnham.

Slug & Lettuce, 12-9pm

An ideal family friendly restaurant and bar based in East. Slug & Lettuce have crafted special menus for the Feast of Food that will be available from 16 September right through to 30 September. Enjoy two courses for £12.95 or treat yourself to three courses for £15.95, alternatively opt for a signature menu with a glass of fizz on the side!

Lion and Lamb Café and Restaurant, 9am-1.30pm (Monday-Thursday), 9am-4pm, 6-11pm (Friday & Saturday)

With fresh, British cuisine using local produce and a friendly environment, The Lion and Lamb café and restaurant is a perfect place for an al-fresco lunch on the courtyard cobbles or an enjoyable meal out with friends in the evening. You can even take your favourite bottle of wine with you and have no corkage fee for the duration of the Feast of Food!

Pizza Express, 12-11pm

Enjoy traditional, Italian cuisine and delicious pizzas at great prices. Treat yourself to an indulgent three course meal for £12.95 available for the duration of the Feast of Food. Get the kids involved at the Food Festival and try your hands at dough ball making.

Squires Kitchen

Squires Kitchen are celebrating the fortnight with a very special addition to the Pretty Patisserie Menu. Sample a minature feast of delicious patisserie with a pot of tea for tow. You can even shop for all of your cake and baking essentials at the same time. They will also be holding free cake decorating demos in the store.

16 September

Gin Festival, 7-11pm

Sample and discover a variety of local gins, enjoy live music and chat with other gin enthusiasts all under one roof.

Frensham Beer Run, 12-4pm

Take part in the British Beer Run which takes place across Frensham Common. You can choose to enter either the half pint run (5km) or the full pint (5mi). The course will challenge you in the highs and lows of Frensham Common with views over both the little and great pond.

Farnham Afternoon Tea, 2.30-4.30pm

Following last year’s delightful Farnham Afternoon Tea, come along to the Maltings for a community event with live music, pop-up craft and the perfect chance to meet new people.

Refreshments are free, and you’re invited to bring a cake to share or tins/packets for Farnham Foodbank.

20 September

The Royal Oak, 12-2.30pm/6-9.30pm

This family pub based just outside of Farnham in Wrecclesham offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy delicious homemade food. Book a table for this date and you can enjoy an 8oz sirloin steak with all the trimmings plus your choice of sauce for £12.50.

21 September

The Plough, 6pm- late

Renowned for its live music, original street food menu and friendly atmosphere, The Plough offers a newly refurbished, vibrant and welcoming experience to enjoy a Mexican Taco Fiesta! Tuck into tacos or quesadillas with your choice of filling or enjoy roasted chicken, pork or fish (Mexican style of course) or if you just fancy a snack to share then choose the nachos with braised brisket and beans!

23 September

Beverley Edmondson Millinery, 9.30am-5pm

Beverley Edmondson Millinery is once again teaming up with local baker Vanessa Albury from Forever Cakes. Beautiful tasty cupcakes will be given away in store this weekend for Farnham food festival, with a fantastic display put on by local these local creative business owners.

Emma at the Stirling Sandwich Shop

The Stirling sandwich shop serve fresh sandwiches, coffees and lunches, Monday to Saturday from their little green kiosk at the bottom of Castle Street. As part of the Feast of Food, Emma will be offering two delicious, homemade cakes and two coffees for £5.  Sit in and relax or take away as an afternoon work treat.

29 September

Loaf Bakery, 8.30am-4.15pm

With a baking heritage of 125 years, you can enjoy fresh products made using the best ingredients available. Try their Friday speciality bread- sunflower, sesame and flax seed and pop in to take advantage of a one off lunch deal as part of the Feast of Food.

Farnham Wholefoods, 9.30am-6pm

Farnham Wholefoods is an independent, local health food store offering an assortment of organic, allergen-free and environmentally friendly products. Pop in on 29 September and receive 10% off food and drinks.

Hampton Estate  10.30am-3.30pm

Order naturally reared, grass fed herd produce, the highest quality of beef imaginable. Join them on their tasting day to pick up your order and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine.

30 September

Farnham Food Festival, 10am-4pm.

Castle Street, Farnham

Discover new cuisines and products, browse from over 100 stalls and enjoy live music and cookery demonstrations from Farnham’s finest chefs.

Tickets: free entry, all welcome.

Brasserie Blanc, 12-10.30pm

Enjoy fantastic French food made with top quality, fresh ingredients in this town centre Georgian building that has a welcoming feel. If it is a sunny day you can relax and enjoy a drink in the secret garden and take advantage of their Food Festival offer- 20% off their la carte menu for one day only (for parties of 6 or less, not in conjunction with any other offers).

COOK, 10am-5.30pm

Purchase delicious food your freezer, prepared in the UK and made using the same ingredients and techniques as you would at home. Celebrating their twentieth anniversary this year, COOK’s first store was in Farnham so why not pop in and treat yourself to a delicious homemade meal. They will also be offering 10% off on the day of the Food Festival.

Giggling Squid, 12-10.30pm

Tuck into rustic, fresh, Thai food in this beautifully renovated restaurant based on Castle Street. Treat yourself this food festival day to a free glass of fizz with every tapas set purchased.
