Have a bank holiday barbeque

Cooking sausages. Frying pan.

Make the most of the last weekend before the schools go back with a bank holiday barbeque.

To get shoppers in the mood for a party, local musician Patrick Webber will be providing live musical entertainment at the August Farmers’ Market.

Many of the regular stallholders will be present, selling sausages, burgers, meats, vegetables for kebabs, salad and bread. Ted’s Garden stall will be returning and selling handcrafted garden wares with a wildlife and countryside theme, plus handcrafted allotment, patio and courtyard gardening products made in metal and timber. The market will be held on Sunday 24 August from 10am to 1.30pm.

Cllr Jill Hargreaves, Lead Member for Tourism and Events says: “Although it is not quite as warm as it was a few weeks ago and the nights are drawing in, there is still time to squeeze in one last summer get together with friends, family or neighbours. We are really pleased that the Farnham Farmers’ Market has again been shortlisted in the Surrey Life Best Farmers’ Market award and I would like to thank all our customers for putting us forward. We will hear in October if we have been successful.

“If you cannot make it to the August market, the September Farmers’ Market will be held on Sunday 28 September and will mark the end of Farnham’s Feast of Food which starts on Friday 12 September.”

Farnham Farmers’ Market is held on the fourth Sunday of every month in Central car park To find out more about booking a pitch or more information see our Farmers’ Market pages.
